The default install for Mac OS X 10.3 uses Discs 1 and 2 (including Additional apps, Printer drivers, Asian Fonts, and Language Translation)

Disc 3 contains packages for X11 or additional language fonts. If you do not have Disc 2 or 3 CD available, yo can quit the installer when it asks for them. Later, you can manually install any needed packages from those CDs
