G4 Cube experienced a resolution problem with the Sony G520. Only one availalbe resolution, 1024×768, was appearing as an option in both the Monitors control panel and the control strip.
The problem was fixed by performing a customized installation of the Video feature of the Mac OS 9.1 software component and the ColorSync software component found on the a G4 Cube Software Install disk, apple part number 691-2988-A.
[I talked with DK this morning about the issue, who said to trash Monitors Preferences, Video Preferences, and ColorSync Preferences and do what Ive outlined above. It worked. Thanks, Dan – JFB 1/10/02]
