Replication uses timestamps, so the clocks on the servers my be synchronized. This can be achieved with Network Time Protocol (NTP) services (the master providing the NTP service, the replicas configured via Date & Time panel of Sys Prefs to set their system clocks to the address of the server providing the NTP service)
